Chart Draft: a trading strategy game for two
Two players, one finished price chart, and a turn each. Every candle can belong to only one trade, so each claim you make is one your opponent can no longer have.

How Chart Draft works
- Study the chart. Both players see all 160 candles of a price chart that finished before the match began, with 30 seconds to study it before the first claim.
- Take turns claiming trades. Each player makes 4 claims, long or short, each covering between 8 and 40 candles. A candle can belong to only one trade, so the best stretches of the chart go to whoever reads them first.
- Swap seats and play it again. The same chart is played a second time with the other player claiming first, so moving first is never the advantage that decides a match.
- The higher total wins. Each claim is scored on a simulated $10,000 per leg, at the exact closing prices of the candles it enters and leaves. Both legs added together decide the winner.
Why it is a game of skill
There is no future price to guess. The chart is fixed and published before play begins, every claim is visible to both players the moment it is made, and there is no dice, no shuffle and no hidden hand. What separates two players is how well they read a chart and how well they anticipate what the other will take. Charts are generated in advance and each day's list is published as a hash before the day starts — how boards are chosen, with the evidence to check your own match.
Time controls
- Blitz · 1:30 + 10s per turn
- Rapid · 4:00 + 20s per turn
Run out of time and your remaining claims are passed; the trades you already made still count.
Entries and the prize
- You choose your entry, from $5. It is a 10% fee plus your stake, and your opponent pays the same.
- The winner takes both stakes. A $20 entry is $2 fee plus a stake, and the winner receives $36. Nothing else is deducted.
- Paid by the escrow contract, straight to your wallet. Both entries go into an on-chain escrow in USDC, which pays the winner the moment the match settles. There is nothing to withdraw and nothing held for you.
- Nothing is charged until someone accepts. Posting a match only authorises your entry.
- You can lose your whole entry. A match has one winner. Enter only what you can afford to lose.
Free matches
Pick Free as your entry and play another person for nothing: same rules, same clock, no entry and no prize. Free games count toward your rating and unlock paid matches after 5 of them, so nobody pays to learn the rules. You can also practise against a bot.
Where paid matches are open
Free matches and practice against a bot are open wherever Yodoya is. Paid matches are for adults only and are closed in some countries and US states. The full list is in section 9 of the terms.
Common questions
Is any real trading involved?
No. Every account is simulated. No order reaches an exchange and nobody's capital is deployed; only the entries and the prize are real money.
Do I need to send documents?
No documents are needed to play or to be paid. Payouts go to your own wallet, and every payout address is screened against sanctions lists.
How is this different from a duel?
A duel is a race on live prices against the clock. Chart Draft is turn-based on a chart that has already finished, so it is pure strategy.
Is this the same as a funded trading challenge?
No, it is separate. Yodoya's trading challenge is played alone against three rules; head-to-head matches are played against another person. See pricing for the challenge.
Practice Chart Draft
Free, no entry fee, and it doesn't affect your rating. You and the bot take turns claiming trades of 8–40 candles on one chart, 4 turns each. Then you play the same chart again with the bot going first.
No sign-up needed. Create an account afterwards and these games count toward unlocking matches against other players.
